Cross-flow scrubbers
compact and low-maintenance solutions for gas cleaning
Our cross-flow scrubbers combine efficient pollutant removal with a compact, low-maintenance design. They are particularly suitable for applications with medium gas flow rates or limited installation space and have proven especially successful in the semiconductor industry.
Application
✔ Pollutant removal: Efficient removal of acidic or alkaline gaseous contaminants through targeted absorption.
How does it work?
In a cross-flow scrubber, the exhaust gas flows horizontally through a packed bed, while the scrubbing liquid trickles downward from the top. The wetted surface area of the packing provides intensive contact between the gas and liquid phases, enabling efficient absorption of pollutants.
The cross-flow arrangement allows for a compact design while maintaining high cleaning efficiency. An integrated mist eliminator prevents liquid carryover into the cleaned gas stream.
